NUCLEAR FABRICATION
BFTL is the only company after Larsen & Toubro Ltd., having accreditation of 10 CFR 50 APPENDIX-B, PART 21 to manufacture components and piping for American Nuclear Industry. A venture where we are working along with Larsen & Toubro Ltd. and servicing customer like Trans Nuclear (AREVA).
BFTL has a dedicated facility for Fabrication of DSC Components (4 Fuel & 9 Fuel Compartments & Square tubes). The 4-Fuel compartments & 9-Fuel compartments are being used in Dry Shielded Canisters assemblies.
BFTL has developed the and successfully established various stages/phases of activities in the process of fabrication, which comprises of
- Approval and development for Round Tubes manufacturing as a Commercial Grade Item supplier
- Development and manufacturing of Square Tubes as a Commercial Grade Item supplier
- Commercial grade dedication of raw material for Canister
- Fabrication of Canister Components / assemblies as an APPENDIX-B supplier
- Development and manufacturing of Rail Fabrication
